Meet the Board... 

SHCA’s current board members are Rachael Geerlings, Juliëtte Hassell, Brigitte Fränkel,  Natasha Richardson. We are connected to Human Resources in different ways, however, we all share a passion for the HR profession and are committed to bringing those HR topics to the forefront that are important to our membership.

Rachael Geerlings 

Chairlady

Rachael Geerlings has a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands.  She has a 15- year career in matters of Human Resources, Business Management and since the last 3 years, Risk management.
As  Chairlady of the SHCA, she looks forward to creating a solid foundation on which all current and future HRM professionals can stand with confidence.

Juliëtte Hassell 

Vice-Chairlady

Juliëtte Hassell has a bachelor’s degree in Management Economics and Law from the Hogeschool Holland in Diemen the Netherlands. She has over 20 years of management experience gained among others as Marketing manager and Project team member airport expansion at Princess Juliana International Airport, Manager by Little Switzerland and HR/Communications Manager by St. Maarten Medical Center. Since 2014 Juliëtte Hassell is Senior Advisor by FWG Progressional People, an organization specialized in HR-solutions ranging from hands-on HR advise, job description classification systems, strategic personnel planning, cla negotiations, assessments, and training. She looks forward to collaborating and connecting with other HR professionals and developing SHCA to a significant partner for its member base.

Brigitte Fränkel

Secretary

Brigitte Fränkel was born and raised in Amsterdam, where she also completed her education. St. Maarten is her home now for 21 years. Her affinity with the HRM field became more profound during the last 6 years after completing various HR courses. Since 2013 she is working as an HR officer at the Algemeen Pensioenfonds Sint Maarten.
She takes pride in being a founding member of the SHCA. As a board member, she is committed to ensuring that SHCA has an added value to the community of St. Maarten and the surrounding islands.
